Aberlour has a deep, reddish hue from new sherry wood. It is an expression with a nutty, Christmas-cake character and a creamy, buttery texture. Its nose is of buttery cinnamon toast.? Along with it are raisin notes in the background. Astringent woody touches, glac_ cherry, and barrel char are evident. The palate is with a big sweet butter hit. Present notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, nutmeg, plump raisins, milk chocolate, along with more of the char from the nose. It has a medium length finish.
